Who is insured to use my boat?

Your policy provides cover for anybody to use the boat with the permission of the policy-holder.

Is my boat covered whilst it is in transit?

The policy provides cover for accidental damage to the boats and equipment as specified on the Schedule of Insurance whilst being transported on a trailer or roof rack of a vehicle.If the boat or trailer cause damage or injury to a third party while it is on or being towed behind a motor vehicle, then any damage to the third party would NOT be covered by this policy. Such injury or damage will be covered under the towing vehicles motor insurance policy.

Am I covered to take my boat abroad?

The territorial limits under the policy are Inland and Territorial Waters of the United Kingdom and the Continent of Europe unless otherwise stated.

Will my details be distributed to anybody else?

We are fully registered under the Data Protection Act. All information that you provide will be entered onto our database for the sole purpose of providing this insurance. The data will not be made available to any third party.

How do I amend my insurance policy?

Should you wish to make an amendment to your policy such as change of address, or to a new boat then please email chris.moon@towergate.co.uk or call on 01732 228 711

How can I cancel my policy?

Should you wish to cancel the policy then please email instructions to chris.moon@towergate.co.uk with your name, policy number, the reason for cancelling the policy and the date that the cancellation is to take place.

What does "Agreed Value" mean?

This is the amount shown in the Schedule of Insurance which represents the value of the boat(s) and equipment as declared by you and is the amount that is paid in the event of a write-off.
